“ The curry is just mediocre, but the portion is large. ”
“ I absolutely love this place! As a company based near Carlsplatz, we make it a tradition to come here every Friday for their great Tonkatsu - it's simply amazing, just like their fried chicken. I have to admit, it's one of the best in Düsseldorf! If you're looking for authentic Japanese cuisine, this family-owned place is the place to be. Highly recommend! ”
“ Totally recommend the curry! Service still has room for improvement ”
“ Must try when you are at carlsplatz! Family-run, friendly and the food is on point and authentic; a mixture between Japanese and Chinese dishes on the menu. We ordered the fried chicken, ribs , dumplings and sesame cold noodles. The ribs were so tender and fell off the bones, the cold noodles was perfect for summer days. You can’t go wrong with any dish here. Service is a 10, fast, friendly and the place is clean. You are lucky to grab a free seat! ”
“ Small little joint run by a friendly husband and wife team. The food is hearty and authentic. We had the chicken karaage with rice and Jap beef curry rice. Both were really good! The chicken was perfectly fried and crispy, bursting with flavour that goes very well with the plainness of the white rice. The Jap beef curry was tasty but only gripe was that the beef pieces were rather little. The meals were good value for the portion. A good little find in the market. Perfect for a hungry lunch. ”
“ Furusato is a gem for a late midday snack! We walked in, and a super polite waiter got us seated and sorted our order quick. We went for fried chicken as a warm-up, but it came with rice and marinated cucumber – a bonus meal! Juicy and oh-so-tasty! Next up, braised pork – it melted in our mouths like magic. We couldn't get enough of it. And those spicy beef noodles, they had the right kick! None of that weak "Germany spicy" stuff. Long story short, we're fans! Furusato is a family restaurant that's a must-try. High-five to their food and service! ”
